It's like doing another phD

It's been months since I started the first post (when I found out about the successful conception). Through these few months, I've been scrambling to read as much as my mind would allow. It's really almost like doing another phD *horrors*, with all that data collection and venturing into a less familiar space. The only comfort is that there are people out there who actually HAVE information on what I'm trying to learn, unlike doing a science / technology phD where we're actually trying to discover something new. So here I am, months into my new "phD thesis", nowhere near graduation, but ready to start logging some of my findings! :)

The journey begins...

Yes, it's a positive!! And this marks the start of an exciting and yet daunting journey of motherhood. I know many mothers become great mothers simply by the trial and error method, but that's just not my style. Being an academic, I'm inclined to gather as much information as possible, categorize them, analyze them and then apply them. Data is good. Information is precious. Hence the start of this blog to document the collated information I have gathered (or will be gathering) in preparation for my first lil' one. I know there are many sources of information out there that for mother-to-bes, but I find them either insufficient or presented in a very unfriendly manner. I'm gonna rearrange them in my own preferred manner (i.e. charts, tables, to-do lists, etc). Figured some other mums out there will also want them in this format and thus decided to share the information! :) Hope it's useful for whoever reads this blog, and do share your tips and tricks too! To a great learning journey together~
